History
The history of Villa Olmi Resort is ancient and unique, as is the elegance and luxury of its spaces which make it one of the most exclusive among the 5 star hotels in Florence and at Bagno a Ripoli. It is situated on the Ripoli Plain, known since ancient times for the amenity and fertility of its lands which have provided, and still do, savory fruits and agricultural products to Florence.
Here the patrician Peruzzi, Bonguglielmi, Mozzi and Pestellini families owned it successively from the 1400s to 1900s, creating an authentic country estate which includes the Villa, Farmhouse, Farmers’ quarters, Mill and Oratory, very efficient and well reputed, renowned throughout Europe.

The quality of antique furnishings, between passion and familily tradition
Villa Olmi is adorned by furnishings and antique accessories selected by Antichità Miccio, the antiquarian gallery founded on Antonino Miccio's passion for beautiful antiques; he transformed his hobby into something he could share with all those who love period furnishings.
The collection of antiques is available on the Antichità Miccio website and it may be seen in the historic center of Florence, in piazza Ghiberti. Tel 055.2344388
Following a period of decline, Villa Olmi Resort once again offers hospitality and splendor thanks to restoration by trade guilds working in close cooperation with the Superintendent of Florentine Monuments. As it was six hundred years ago, each building has a role, with spaces dedicated to hospitality and the services offered by the Villa; the centuries-old park has regained the enchantment of times past, along with the charming Italian-style garden.
