Exhibits in Florence: Transcendental realism: The art of Adi da Samraj

From February 23 to June 22, 2008 the Cenacolo di Ognissanti, one of Florence's most popular museums, will host the exhibit entitled: Transcendental realism. The art of Adi Da Samraj.

The sole location of this exhibit, the Ognissanti convent refectory with its 1488 Ghiraldaio fresco, is worth a visit. A cloister connects the room to the open church where more of the artist's works and numerous frescoes are on display.

The Renaissance city will host the works of Adi Da Samraj inspired by the theories of prospective of one of the greatest exponents of the Renaissance era, Leon Barrista Alberti, to whom the work entitled "Alberti's Window I" is dedicated.

The works of the American Da Samraj are perfect for this location since "a church is a place destined to open up to something above us..." The artist informs us in his book: Transcendental realism. You can admire the Neo-modernist works hinting on avant-garde through a new way to perceive reality.
